Tips for Wholesalers and Supermarkets
Dehydration is a common cause of waste with flowers throughout the chain. The issue occurs mostly during transport and in the shop.

The ideal temperature for transport for most plants is 65 degrees. Make sure transportation takes as little time as possible.

Unpack the flowers carefully.

Cut or trim the stems diagonally by 1 to 2 in with a sharp and clean secateurs.

Quickly place flowers in a clean container filled with water.
(Add 2 bags of the flower food per liter of water)

Keep out the flowers of direct airflows, such as the vent of the cooler and the sunlight.

Many people are often frustrated by how short-lived a Hydrangea bouquet may be once they get it home. They may forget that fresh cut Hydrangeas are still living entities that can be encouraged to last much longer under the right conditions. The following tips will help make your Hydrangeas last longer.

Quickly place flowers in a clean container filled with water.
(Add 1 bag of the flower food to the water for a longer vase life)

Keep out the flowers of direct airflows, such as the vents from the air conditioner.

Every 4 – 5 days make sure to sanitize container and re-cut stems, add fresh water.

- Did you know that the vase water where our hydrangeas are placed never gets a bad smell?
- Transporting flowers and plants together can be a problem. Flowers need a much lower temperature during transport than plants.
- In order to allow the cut flower to still bloom in a natural way while retaining its form, flower color, scent, and leaf color, we need to supply it with flower food in the vase water.
